Welcome to my blog. I am Gaurav Moghe, an accomplished professional specializing in accounting and finance. My professional journey began in India, where I spent over a decade gaining valuable experience across diverse manufacturing sectors such as FMCG, engineering, chemicals, and packaging. My expertise in manufacturing finance, SAP, and costing was nurtured during this time, equipping me with a robust skill set that would prove invaluable in my future endeavors.

In 2017, I embarked on a significant life transition, moving from India to Japan to explore fresh career opportunities in my field. This move was not without its challenges, but it also opened up numerous avenues for personal and professional growth. My perseverance and dedication bore fruit when I achieved permanent residency in Japan within just four years.

Living in Japan has been a unique and enriching experience. The country, often referred to as the Land of the Rising Sun, is known for its blend of traditional and modern culture, breathtaking landscapes, and exceptional cuisine1. The convenience of daily life here is remarkable, with efficient public transportation and ubiquitous convenience stores offering everything from groceries to small electronics1.

The Japanese society is welcoming of foreigners, and I’ve found it to be a place where hard work and respect for cultural norms are highly valued1. Despite the initial challenges, I’ve managed to adapt to the local customs and etiquette, including the proper use of chopsticks, which is an integral part of most meals in Japan1.

Today, I am comfortably settled in Japan, applying my extensive experience and skills in the accounting and finance sector. Through this blog, I aim to share my professional insights and personal experiences of living and working in Japan. I hope my journey can inspire and guide others who are considering a similar path.
